Our Mission
Goldenrod Analytics is a technical consultancy specializing in data science, machine learning, and scientific research for the environmental sciences. We serve clients in ecology, agriculture, conservation, energy, and utilities — particularly universities, federal agencies, and research institutions that require formal vendor relationships and rigorous, reproducible methods.
We believe the most valuable data science work happens at the boundary between deep domain knowledge and production engineering. Our team brings both.
How We Work
Goldenrod Analytics is a worker-owned cooperative. That means the people doing the work own and govern the firm — there are no outside investors, and strategic decisions are made democratically by the members doing the work. We think this makes us a better long-term partner: our incentives are aligned with delivering excellent work, not with short-term revenue targets.
We are a distributed team with members in Bellefonte, PA and Albuquerque, NM, and we are experienced with the formal vendor onboarding and procurement processes required by universities and federal agencies.

Every workflow we build is documented, version-controlled, and designed to be understood and rerun by others.
We hold our analyses to peer-review standards. If we wouldn't publish it, we won't ship it.
